Terms for deleting a company or an account
Effective 19 October 2026
These terms apply whenever a company or a user account is deleted on Accounting Intelligence, the service operated by Tech Ventures. They form part of the terms of service. By confirming a deletion you agree to them, on your own behalf and on behalf of the company concerned.
1. Definitions
“Company” means one set of books on the service: its chart of accounts, journal, documents, customers, vendors, items, e-invoices, attachments, settings, users and history. “Account” means the sign-in of one person. “Owner” means the user recorded as the owner of a company. “Support” means Tech Ventures support, reachable at support@techventuresglobal.com.
2. Who may delete
Only the owner of a company may delete it. Only the holder of an account may delete that account. Each deletion must be confirmed with the account password and acceptance of these terms; a company deletion also requires its name to be typed.
You confirm that you are authorised to delete the company on behalf of the business it belongs to. Tech Ventures may rely on that confirmation and is not required to verify it with anybody else.
3. Your records are your responsibility
Before deleting, export every record you need. UAE law, including the requirements of the Federal Tax Authority and company law, obliges businesses to keep accounting, VAT, corporate tax and e-invoicing records for prescribed periods, often five years or more. That obligation remains yours after deletion. Tech Ventures does not keep records on your behalf after a deletion and is not responsible for meeting your retention obligations.
4. What happens immediately
When a company is deleted, every member loses access at once, pending invitations are cancelled, and scheduled work for it stops, including the sending of e-invoices and the refreshing of exchange rates.
E-invoices already transmitted to a buyer, to the Peppol network or to the Federal Tax Authority cannot be recalled. Those copies are held by those parties and are outside Tech Ventures' control. E-invoices not yet transmitted will not be sent.
When an account is deleted, its holder is signed out everywhere and cannot sign in again. Companies to which only that person belongs are deleted with it under these terms. The holder is removed from every other company; entries and documents they created there remain part of that company's books, attributed to them in its history.
An account cannot be deleted while its holder owns a company that other people still use. That company must first be deleted, or its ownership moved by support.
5. Subscription, fees and credits
Deleting a company ends its subscription. Fees already paid are not refunded, in whole or in part, and no credit is given for the unused part of a billing period.
Unused e-invoice documents, AI credits and any other prepaid allowances are forfeited on deletion. They cannot be refunded, transferred to another company or exchanged for money. If a company is restored, Tech Ventures may, at its discretion, reinstate them.
Amounts owed to Tech Ventures before deletion remain payable.
6. Retention and permanent erasure
A deleted company or account is kept, closed and inaccessible to its users, for 90 days from the deletion. At the end of that period it is permanently erased from the service, with all its data. Erasure cannot be reversed by anybody.
Copies held in backups are overwritten in the ordinary course of backup rotation after erasure and are not used to restore individual companies or accounts.
Tech Ventures keeps, after erasure, only what it must keep for its own legal, tax, accounting, security or dispute purposes, such as its invoices to you, payment records, and a record of who deleted what and when.
7. Restoration
There is no self-service undo. A deleted company or account can be restored only by Tech Ventures support, on written request, and only before it is erased.
A company restoration must be requested by its owner from the owner's registered email address; an account restoration by its holder from that account's address. Support may ask for further proof of identity and authority before acting.
Restoration is entirely at Tech Ventures' discretion. Tech Ventures may decline any request without giving reasons, and may charge a restoration fee, which it will tell you before starting and which is payable in advance.
A restored company or account returns as it was at the moment of deletion. Nothing posted, sent or changed elsewhere in the meantime is reflected, and pending invitations are not reinstated. A restored company must have an active subscription before it can be used again. Tech Ventures does not guarantee that a restoration will succeed or be complete.
8. Liability
Deletion is carried out on your instruction. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tech Ventures is not liable for any loss arising from a deletion confirmed by an owner or account holder, or by anyone using their sign-in, including loss of data, records, revenue or business, regulatory penalties, or the cost of re-creating records, and is not liable for a restoration declined, delayed or incomplete.
9. Deletion by Tech Ventures
These terms describe deletions you make. Tech Ventures may also suspend or close a company or account as the terms of service allow, for example for non-payment or misuse; in that case the terms of service apply, and these terms apply to the retention, erasure and restoration that follow.
10. Changes and contact
Tech Ventures may change these terms. The version in force at the moment of a deletion governs that deletion. Questions and restoration requests go to support@techventuresglobal.com.
