Becoming a Tech Ventures partner

What the application asks for, what we check, and what happens after you send it. Allow twenty minutes: the Partner Agreement is on the form and has to be read before it can be sent.

Have these ready

  • Your trade licence, as a PDF, JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 8 MB. This is the one paper the application will not go without.
  • Your VAT registration certificate, if the firm is registered. Useful, not required.
  • The trade licence number, and the TRN if you have one.
  • A work e-mail address you can read right now — the form sends a code to it before it opens.
  • The name and job title of whoever will hold the partner account.

The Partner Agreement is on the form, in full, and accepting it is the firm's electronic signature — it binds the firm once we approve the application. So whoever fills the form in has to be authorised to sign for the firm, and your acceptance is recorded with the agreement's version, the date and your IP address.

The two steps

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Prove the e-mail address

The form starts with one field. Type the address the partner account should belong to and we send a six-digit code to it; type the code back and the rest of the form opens. The address is then fixed — it becomes the sign-in for the partner account, so it should be a mailbox that outlives whoever fills the form in.

  2. 2

    Step 2

Tell us about the firm, and sign

Four parts, on one page, with nothing hidden behind a Next button: the firm, the person signing, the papers, and the Partner Agreement. The agreement is shown in full and has to be scrolled to its end before it can be accepted, so nobody signs a document they were not given. Required fields are marked; the rest help us place you faster but will not stop the application.

What the form asks

The firm

  • What kind of firm it is — IT, audit, ERP vendor, service provider or consultancy.
  • Trade licence number and the legal name exactly as the licence has it.
  • TRN, emirate, address and website, where you have them.

The person signing

  • Name and job title.
  • The e-mail address you proved in step one, which cannot be edited here.
  • A phone number we can reach you on.

The papers

  • Trade licence — required.
  • VAT registration certificate — optional.
  • They are read by the partner desk and nobody else. You can replace either of them yourself later, from your firm's own page in the portal.

After you send it

  1. 1The screen gives you a reference, PRT- followed by the date and four characters. Quote it if you write to us.
  2. 2An acknowledgement reaches the address you proved, with the same reference.
  3. 3The partner desk reads the licence and checks the firm. This usually takes two working days.

When you are approved

  1. 1We e-mail the address on the application with a link to set a password. It works once, and for seven days.
  2. 2Sign in. The portal does not ask you to accept anything again: what you accepted on the application is carried to the account, dated when you gave it. You are asked again only if the agreement has changed since.
  3. 3The partner portal opens, and the agreement stays there to read whenever you want it.

If we cannot approve the application we write and say why. Nothing is left to be guessed at.

What the portal gives you

  • Record prospects, quote them, and turn a won quotation into a customer and an invoice.
  • Buy subscriptions at the partner rate — 20% off list as standard — for your customers and for your own firm.
  • Set up each customer's taxpayer companies, split their e-invoices between them, and activate them with the Federal Tax Authority.
  • One subscription per customer that everything they buy joins, so what they hold is in one place.

What you will do for a customer afterwards

Every taxpayer you set up has to name Tech Ventures as its accredited service provider on EmaraTax. That is done on the Authority's own portal, and we have written that one up screen by screen too.

Rather ask first?

If you are not sure the programme fits your firm, say so and somebody from the partner desk will answer.
